The holidays approach
I'm updating since it's been a few months.
We are getting ready for the holidays here. Florida has had some real cold snaps in the last two weeks, so it's put everyone in the spirit of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Ruel started his new job with Florida Hospital on Monday, 11/17 and seems to be liking it a lot so far. A bonus (at least in my opinion) is that he was able to get Thanksgiving and three days afterward off! I'm very excited! We'll be having dinner at Mom and Dad Sandridge's again this year. I think I'm responsible for the green bean casserole and one other item.
In addition to work, Ruel has been going strong with school taking economicsa and statistics this semester. He has a lot of dedication and is doing pretty well with both classes. I will be glad when he's done for the semester though so he can relax for a change.
Christmas is a quick 5 weeks away and we can't believe how quickly our year has flown. Hard to believe that the 6 month anniversary of our wedding was 10/26/2008. Seemed to just pass us so quickly.
Next I'll post pictures of Thanksgiving festivities and also the house once it's decorated.
Much love to the Manuel side of the family, hope everything is going well in the Philippines.

Rainy July
Time is going quickly and I can't believe July is almost 1/2 gone; and for that matter 1/2 the year! The first four months planning for the wedding, were truly a blur.
Last night we went to Pointe Orlando, off of I-Drive (International Drive to you non-locals) to wish our dear friend Laura Malone best of luck as she begins a new chapter of her life in Cleveland, OH. The party was held at BB Kings Blues Club which was a first for me and Ruel. It was a really neat place with a great live band and good food (fried pickles!).
Hopefully within the next few months we'll start our goal of consolidating property on our way to a bigger home that we can live in for the next 20 or so years (laughs!). Ruel has to finish accounting first, then we'll work the properties that are rentals before putting mine on the market. It's a really tough situation though with the economy and downturn. Unfortuantely we don't see much in the way of an upswing any time soon.
When the homes go on the markets, I'll make sure to post pictures and infomration so you all can see and hopefully help us spread the word to potential buyers! They are great places, so we're hopeful they will sell quickly.
That's all for now, I'm going to try to post pics with this entry, so wish me luck!

1 month into the Marriage
It’s hard to believe, but Ruel and I have already been married a month (May 26), which ironically was a holiday. Ruel was working that day and I worked around the house and attended a BBQ that our neighbors hosted. It was a good day.
Otherwise, the following has been happening:
Ruel is working diligently to get through Summer School. His classes are each 6 weeks long and are epitome of a long cram session. He spends many early mornings tied to the computer in the office studying. I think he’s in Macroeconomics this session and Finance in the next session. Good Luck to him on both!
I have been continuing to organize the house after we switched the office and spare bedroom. Everything seems to have been turned upside down by the move and I’m still trying to put things to rights. Additionally I needed to do a good spring cleaning and with the wedding didn’t quite get around to it. Now it’s become hot, summer clean out. But better late than never.
I’m also taking sewing classes this summer! It’s something I’ve always wanted to learn how to do and let’s face it, the TV season is over and Ruel is studying when he does have free time, so I figure now is the prime opportunity to get it done. I take basic sewing and quilting 101 in June; very exciting.
May flew by in a blur, if the rest of the year is going to go by that fast, I need to buckle up, because it is going to be quite a ride.
Hope everyone is well, and I’ll blog again soon.

Link to Wal-Mart Pictures of Honeymoon
Until I learn from Daphne how to do a scroll bar like she's had for Evan, this will have to suffice!

Hold tight because wedding pictures will be available soon.
Hello and Welcome
I'm just getting my feet wet with the whole "blogging" thing, so forgive me if this first posting is somewhat sparse.
Just a synopsis:
Florante and I (Kaycee) got married on Saturday, April 26, 2008 in Narcoossee, FL at the Eagle Creek Country Club.
We are recently returned from our honeymoon to Sandals Resort in Ochos Rios, Jamaica (more on that later).
Florante, aka Ruel, is busy working to rearrange the house (switching office and spare bedroom) and I find myself with a little time to start this endeavor.
I hope you all will take time to chime in and add your comments throughout the life of the blog.
More to come in the next days, weeks and months.
